Mindful Consumption of Media
Different forms of media can be used as tools for calming and clarifying our minds. In this way, they are tools of mindfulness. Media can also serve as inspiration to motivate us to change our behavior and find direction. Thus, they can be tools of discipline and aspiration. Media can help us explore and go beyond our own fixed views about life. This way, they are instruments of wisdom.
Writing, music, and the arts can be positive tools of transformation. We just need to learn the right method of how to appreciate or create them.
